Friday, October 23rd, 2020, was a day when we could feel normal again!! It was the day on which we broke up for a well deserved Hallowe'en Break after eight weeks of Covid restrictions following a return to learning in what has been a strange 2020, to say the least.
From hand sanitising to handwashing, from split breaks to a split campus, from Currycramph to Clooncolry, from co-ordinated bus drivers to staggered dispersals, despite all that the pupils of our school got to experience a sense of normality again with the fun of dressing up on our annual Hallowe'en Day! It was a day when we could hardly recognise our pupils with traditional mask wearing returning to give us an enjoyable day borrowed from a former existence!!!
Once again the pupils and indeed their parents made terrific efforts to mark this occasion and there was great sense of fun and excitement at Scoil Mhuire NS from the earliest arrivals shortly before 9am, both at the traditional site of the school and the satellite site in Dromod at Bornacoola GAA Clubhouse. The school community left no stone unturned on this day. It was great to have felt a sense of normality again and to leave for mid term break having had fun!!! To quote one pupil on leaving leaving at 3pm "WE HAD BLAST TODAY!!!
We hope you enjoy a number of the images of today!!
