Parents Association

The Parent Association is the structure through which parents in a school can work together for the best possible education for their children. The parent association works with the principal, staff and the board of management to build effective partnership between the home and school. Partnership between the home and school is important because with positive and active partnership the child gets the best that primary education can offer.

Scoil Mhuire NS formed a Parents Association in early 2016. The process involved inviting all parents to an open meeting in Bornacoola Community Centre on February 24th, with a view to forming an association. This meeting was well attended and representative of pupils of all classes in the school. From there a committee was formed.

We look forward to working co-operatively with the parent body in ensuring that all the needs of the pupils in our care are met in the best possible manner.
