National Road Safety Week October 3 to October 9

Last week was National Road Safety Week and we were delighted to welcome members of An Garda Síochána from Ck-on-Shannon Garda Division to Scoil Mhuire on Wednesday 5th. They gave many valuable tips on road safety to all the pupils who were then invited to examine the various vehicles brought into the school yard. It was an enjoyable hour for all the pupils and they were also treated to some goodies and high visibility safety jackets which will be invaluable as winter and the fading light of long nights bear down on us. Our thanks for their visit to the members of An Garda Síochána who treated the pupils to blast of sirens as they departed!!
